After a year of hard work, several postponements and plenty of frustrations we have finally closed our first multi-million dollar deal. Our client, a local developer, has been able to attract the required financing for his hotel through our mediation. The financing of US$10 million is offered by a consortium of banks headed by the Aruban AIB Bank. The Wyndham Garden Paramaribo Hotel is scheduled to open in March 2010.The signing of the finance agreement was a big event on the top floor of the building that is being refurbished and extended to become the hotel. Representatives of the consortium, the Minister of Finance, the First Lady and a host of other dignitaries, friends of our client and the local media were on hand to witness the largest private investment in the Suriname tourism sector take shape.
After the signing a new billboard was unveiled by the First Lady that shows an artist rendering of the hotel and all the companies involved in the realisation of this project. It was great to see our name, InCar Group, up there for all to see!!
